About us

After many years of living all over the world, Gioacchino and Nicoletta Lanza Tomasi, Duke and Duchess of Palma, returned to Palermo at the end of 2007, making it their permanent home.
On their return, they completed the restoration of Palazzo Lanza Tomasi and the holiday homes.
The Duke was the adopted son and literary heir of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, as well as a well-known musicologist and opera manager.
He was the President of the Association of Historic Houses of Sicily.
The Duchess, a former Russian interpreter and music festival organiser, is originally from Venice. She has embraced the Sicilian cultural and culinary traditions with a passion and revives them in her Sicilian cooking classes and the events she organises at the Palazzo.
Gioacchino Lanza Tomasi passed away in May 2023. Nicoletta keeps alive his memory and that of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, preserving their Home and carrying on their cultural legacy.
